CLEA is pleased to announce the N2 conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Noosphere, the evolving realm of global collective consciousness, intelligence, mind, or “noos”. Initiated by Human Energy and co-organized by CLEA, this 3-day conference will take place from November 17-19, 2023, at the University of California, Berkeley.
N2 | The Noosphere at 100: The Future of Human Collective Consciousness is an international, interdisciplinary conference fostering creative collaboration for intentionally and ethically steering the future evolution of the noosphere. N2 brings together leading scientists, scholars from across disciplines, thought leaders, artists, and all those who are interested in the meaning and possibility of the noosphere for our collective future.
The conference will host half a dozen CLEA-affiliated speakers such as director Francis Heylighen and researchers Clément Vidal, Marta Lenartowicz, Shima Beigi, Tomas Véloz, Floor Schukking and Stefan Leijnen. They will share their recent insights alongside other experts on collective intelligence including Ben Goertzel, Terrence Deacon, Jaron Lanier, Kevin Kelly, Robert Wright and former CLEA member Johan Bollen. More info about all featured speakers can be found on the conference website. Plenary sessions will be streamed live, so you can participate remotely.
The N2 conference wants to deepen our understanding of the Noosphere by inviting broad participation and welcoming all those interested in the noosphere and the promise of human collective consciousness. It will be primarily an in-person event, at UC Berkeley's beautiful, historic International House, with live-streaming of keynote and selected featured presentations.
More information is available on the conference website, which will be updated regularly. Questions regarding N2 may be sent to the conference co-chairs, Dr. Terrence Deacon and Dr. Sheila Hassell Hughes, at n2conference@humanenergy.io.
