Daliah Bibas
Biography
Daliah Bibas is a PhD student in Philosophy & Moral Sciences where she researches the philosophical and ethical implications of potential contact with non-human intelligence. Her work focuses on developing a multidimensional impact model to examine the societal, social, and psychological effects of discovering non-human intelligence, including extraterrestrial and artificial general intelligences. With a Bachelor of Science in Biology & Medical Sciences and a Master of Science in Astrobiology, Planetary Geology, and Space Exploration from the University of Western Ontario in Canada, Daliah brings an interdisciplinary perspective to her research, bridging the sciences and humanities.
Passionate about science communication, she has organized and led several panels on the philosophy of astrobiology and is dedicated to making complex ideas accessible to a wider audience. Daliah is also an international affiliate member of the SETI Post-Detection Hub, an initiative of the UK SETI Research Network, where she collaborates on exploring responsible frameworks for potential contact with extraterrestrial intelligence.
