CLEA director Francis Heylighen and researcher Shima Beigi are invited to speak at the Science Week in Morocco from 12 - 16 February, organised by the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P). This year’s theme is the paradigm of transition(s). In his talk, Francis will touch upon the concept of metatransitions and Shima will talk about the transition towards Mindful Smart Cities. Together with 50 other international researchers, they will explore the delicate balance of evolution and disruption across diverse fields. Participants will discuss material, climatic, digital, economic, and biotechnological transitions, and how to collectively seek new equilibriums in an era of imminent shifts. Scholars are also invited to contribute to the Grand White Paper on Transitions.
